
KGCS-TV has served ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ State University and the Joplin region for more than 40 years. The station provides hands-on training opportunities for students in the Department of Communication. It provides programs of interest to the campus and community.

Whether working behind the scenes or in front of the camera, students collaborate to create programming that serves both the campus and the Joplin community.
KGCS broadcasts throughout the Joplin region on digital channel 21.
Programming may be seen over the air, reaching more than 168,000 households in the region.
KGCS may also be seen on regional cable television systems, including Sparklight in Joplin. Other cable systems carrying KGCS include Mediacom and Suddenlink.
