Teaching Responsibilities: Constitutional Law, State & Local Government, Public Policy & Administration, Religion & Politics, Sex & Gender in American Law, Model United Nations, Professional Development
Research Interests: My research agenda centers on three intersecting areas within political science and higher education. First, I engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning, with particular emphasis on professional development and the role of immersive experiences—especially internships—in shaping student outcomes and career readiness. Second, I examine state political party platforms and their relationship to legislative behavior, exploring how party priorities are translated (or not) into policy at the state level. Third, my work on women in executive politics investigates both pathways to leadership and the ways female executives are portrayed in media coverage, with attention to how these narratives shape public perception and political opportunity.
