The Southern Broadcasters Club is dedicated to the promotion and advancement of film, video, radio, screenwriting, editing, and broadcasting on the campus of ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ State University. Members of Southern Broadcasters have the opportunity to gain knowledge, experience, and learn current procedures within the fields of film, broadcast, and radio. Club members work collaboratively to create projects, exhibits, workshops, and festivals on campus and in the community. This is all done within a fun and educational environment that promotes integrity, passion, and creativity.
Communication students have opportunities to connect with professional organizations that support careers in broadcasting, journalism, media, and communication.
The Department of Communication partners with the Office of International Education to offer international learning experiences, including the annual International Media Seminar. This immersive program gives students the opportunity to meet with journalists, editors, producers, and other media professionals while exploring the global media landscape. Additional faculty-led trips and study abroad programs are also available through the Office of Global Education.
